It will probably be more difficult this year, but if you’re determined then just arrive even earlier than I did and camp out in a chair. It’s worth noting that some campsites higher up, like Boulder Pass and Hole in the Wall, might not open up until early August. This is due to snow levels and environmental concerns. For a trip like you’re interested in it may be best to call the park and talk to someone for advice.
