In reply to <a href="https://alanmajchrowicz.com/boulder-pass-glacier-national-park-part-1/#comment-19514">Timothy Dannenhoffer</a>.

Yes, that was the line on my first attempt. A few days later I got in line around 2:00am and got the permits I wanted. It will probably be more difficult this year, but if you're determined then just arrive even earlier than I did and camp out in a chair. It's worth noting that some campsites higher up, like Boulder Pass and Hole in the Wall, might not open up until early August. This is due to snow levels and environmental concerns. For a trip like you're interested in it may be best to call the park and talk to someone for advice.

Was this the line for backcountry permits in Apgar? I've camped out for concert tickets and getting close at concerts with some luck...Do you think it's likely I could get the Northern loop campsites or half of them returning the same way or Hole in the Wall from Bowman Lake I think it is? I'd love to get down to those series of lakes north and west of Ptarmigan Tunnel....Elizabeth Lake and north and west of it...
