In reply to <a href="https://alanmajchrowicz.com/boulder-pass-glacier-national-park-part-2/#comment-19758">Matt</a>.

Hi Matt. I generally don't weigh my pack before I head out on a trip, but a rough guess would be around 55lbs. for a 2 or 3 day backpacking trip. My camera gear including tripod weighs around 20lbs. I always bring along all my camera gear unless I'm absolutely positive I won't need a specific lens, which usually doesn't happen. My other backpacking gear is pretty lightweight and I try to pack only the most essential items. Food is usually the heaviest part of my overnight pack even though I take mostly freeze dried dinners, instant oatmeal, energy bars, and such. Hope this helps, have fun in Glacier!

Great piece. Thank you. I am going to Glacier for a week this fall on a solo photo trip. First time ! Not as adventurous as you but would like to explore some remote areas that one can do in a day! I have same camera gear as you list. My concern is the weight while backpacking....how heavy was it for you? Any advice? Thanks!
